SOLOGRAMS

Early on in the flick ’s development , I met with Rupert to discuss some of the originative direction . He expressed his desire to paint the urban center with neon light in a new shape that he coined as “ Solograms , ” which are solid holograms . It is something in the realm of a mote scheme of light that can be moved and augment in izzard quad . I bed the idea and directly got to function building out concepts and ideas . Below you will see a mix of various style frames , concepts , and final production asset that made it into the film . These concepts then give-up the ghost into post production where Chris Bjerre and I animated and created an plus library for Rupert to paint his city with .

This study blend into the terminal version of the film and present a big going away from earlier conceptualization done by Monika Bielskyte , where the fictional world looked more straggling and brilliantly - lit . Despite the shifts and its other flaw , Ghost in the Shell looks good at the very least .
