When Elmer shows up at Porky ’s to face Bugs , there ’s a palpable sense of dread on the page that you ’d never really see in a Looney Tunes cartoon .
Elmer has every intention of shooting Bugs at point blank range and there ’s no indicant that the encounter ’s last to end in a jest or trick .
