If Man of Steel , Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad are any meter reading , the DC Cinematic Universe is going to be much darker and grimmer than Marvel ’s . But a new hearsay hint it ’ll finally get a big hyphen of playfulness and color , thanks to the misfit union of Booster Gold and Blue Beetle .
The rumor , which originated at The Tracking Board , says the more comical heroes will be get a “ buddy bull ” eccentric superhero picture with Flash and Arrow executive producer Greg Berlanti directing . Heroic Hollywood tally that Zak Penn , writer of X2 , is being eyed as a writer . The film would correspond into the macrocosm that ’ll features Ben Affleck ’s Batman , Henry Cavill ’s Superman , Jared Leto ’s Joker and others .
Now , remember this is a rumour . Berlanti is a very busy guy wire , with several TV shows on the air travel in addition to Flash and Arrow . Green Lantern Corps or The Flash could be “ fun , ” look on the film producer — but Booster Gold and Blue Beetle ? That ’s a guarantee , if it ’s dead on target .
There ’s also the question , if this is true , when would this movie happen ? The DC slating is pretty stacked at the minute , with 10 announced cinema through 2020 plus at least one Batman picture in that clock time and possibly even Man of Steel 2 . perchance Booster and Beetle are being eyed for a potential phase two ?
