What if this is the last time I see him?” Faith, 60, tells PEOPLE. “Certainly I had in my brain the very real possibility that it may not work out. I remember feeling it right then. I cried when he drove off.”On Thursday’s episode ofThe Golden Bachelor, Gerry, 72, decided to move forward with Leslie Fhima and Theresa Nist, sending home Faith . As she expressed on the show, Faith thinks her and Gerry’s contrasting lifestyles — not to mention the fact they live in different states — played a role in the breakup.“He never brought that up, but I had felt that that might’ve been,” Faith says. “I remember that night thinking, ‘Oh, should I have done that?’ But, I wouldn’t have been being honest had I not said that. It was less full of sexual chemistry and a more heart-to-heart, soulful and kind of a spiritual connection. There was something real special about him I wanted to explore. It was an instantaneous thing.”However, Faith said she “was hooked, line and sinker” after her one-on-one date with Gerry.“It wasn’t because we were on a yacht and it was a fantasy thing,” she says. “It was just that we really had the most amount of time to share things and time together. It was so wonderful to be with him. It was a great feeling.”Faith Martin and Gerry Turner on ‘The Bachelor.'.John Fleenor/ABCFaith looked forward to her family meeting Gerry during hometowns.“I knew they were really hopeful that I could find love,” the reality star says. “That’s something they’ve always wanted from me since the death of their dad, and since the dating scene had been really not what I was looking for in my life. I would love to have him in my life somehow, but I also think that’s a big bite to ask for. I seriously could be friends with whoever he ends up with, and feel like I could love him appropriately in a non-romantic sense.”Still, Faith accepts that her breakup with Gerry “was the best decision” for both of them, and she looks forward to celebrating “with him when he finds love.”“I trust the wisdom in Gerry, that he’s looking for specifics in his life that will work for him,” Faith says. “I can respect that.
