Julianne HoughandDerek Houghwill host this year’sDisney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade,ABC announced in a statementon Wednesday.
The show was taped in early November, before Derek’s wifeHayley Erbert’s emergency craniectomy.
In mid-November, Derek shared a video on his Instagram account abouthis busy dayatWalt Disney World Resort. It’s unclear if Erbert was with Derek at the time or will appear in the special.

Ariana DeBose,Chrissy Metz, The Smashing Pumpkins, Iam Tongi,Meg Donnellyand Michael Bolton will entertain during the special, which is in its 40th year. The Broadway and North American Tour cast of Disney’sAladdinwill also perform.
In honor of the milestone anniversary, viewers will also be treated to a look back at some of the event’s most iconic moments through the years, including*NSYNC’slive performance of their holiday hit “Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays” in 1998 andGwen Stefani’sperformance of “Winter Wonderland” in 2018.
Derek announced in early December that his wife wouldundergo emergency craniectomyafter she became disoriented and was diagnosed with “a cranial hematoma from a burst blood vessel.” He has since been keeping his followers updated on her recovery via Instagram.

On Thursday, the 38-year-old announced thatErbert’s second surgerywas successful.
“With immense relief, gratitude and overwhelming joy I’d like to share that Hayley’s cranioplasty surgery has been successfully completed as planned,“he wrote in the post.“My sincere appreciation goes to the exceptional medical team. Their expertise and steady hands were pivotal in this journey, ensuring a smooth and successful surgery. Especially Dr. Mai who not only performed the surgery but was also the one who saved her life 2 weeks ago.”
TheDancing With the Starsjudge said that he and Erbert, 29, are grateful for the love and support they’ve been receiving from the public. “Your thoughts, prayers, and positive energy have been a source of strength and comfort for us during this challenging time,” he wrote.
