Thanksgiving went off without a hitch in the Richards-Umansky household.
“We get along, we don’t argue, so it was actually nice,” Richards, 54, said of her and Umansky’s Thanksgiving at the event, which was held atKathy Hilton’s Beverly Hills home.
TheReal Housewives of Beverly Hillsstar said she and Umansky, 53, “had our friends over — a couple friends — and our girls were there.”

Of their first Thanksgiving since their separation, whichPEOPLE confirmedin July, Richards added, “I mean, I never expected to be in this position in a million years — you know that — and obviously it’s not ideal, but I feel proud of the way we are navigating through this difficult time.”
TheRHOBHstar also acknowledged the awkwardness between herself and Umansky on-screen, and toldExtrathat she is taking the separation “one day at a time, honestly.”
“People ask me why it was so awkward, the scenes with Mo and me when the season first started. I didn’t know how to navigate through that in my personal life, let alone with cameras in my face,” she explained.
“And you can see that, you sense that, it’s very awkward, which, it’s never been awkward, but I didn’t know how to do that,” she said. “I do not have a good poker face.”

With Thanksgiving in the rear-view mirror and the new year on the horizon, Richards just wants herself and her family to be happy.
“I just want to get to a place of being at peace and being able to tune out the noise and the chatter,” she toldExtra. “And right now, I’m just focusing on making sure my kids are happy and our family is still a family and happy.”
She added, “I want to go into 2024 as healthy mentally and physically as I can be so that I’m strong and can be a good mom and a good friend and also be good to myself, too.”

On Thanksgiving, both theRHOBHstar and real estate mogulshared clips of their holiday celebration— which they spent with “15 or 16” other people, per Umansky — on Instagram.
In a video filmed in the former couple’s kitchen in their Encino, California, home, an apron-clad Umansky smiled while Richards readied the family’s Turkey-Day buffet.
“Okay, the turkey has been cut, it has been cooked,” the formerDancing with the Starscontestant said to Richards as she lifted up the serving dish lid. “Let me see the turkey.”
In the same clip, Umansky also showed off mashed potatoes, peas, cranberries, freshly baked cookies — and more turkey. “We are good!” he exclaimed.
