Hold onto your butts, because the nextJurassic Worldfinally has a release date!
Three decades afterJurassic Parkbecame a cultural phenomenon, and less than two years afterJurassic World Dominionwas thought to be the final installment, fans of the franchise can rejoice knowing more dinosaurs are on the way.

David Koepp, who wrote the screenplays for the originalJurassic Parkand its 1997 sequelThe Lost World: Jurassic Park, both based onMichael Crichton’s books of the same name, is set to return to write the script with a new storyline.
Steven Spielberg, who famously directed the first film, will return to executive produce the upcoming project.
Bullet Traindirector David Leitch is reportedly in talks to direct next year’s film,Varietysaid on Monday.

SinceJurassic Park’s1993 release, it’s earned more than $6 billion worldwide. The original cast consisted ofSam Neillas paleontologist Alan Grant;Laura Dernas Ellie Satler, a colleague of his;Samuel L. Jacksonplayed park engineer Ray Arnold;Jeff Goldblumas mathematician Ian Malcolm; and more.

Throughout the years, several cast members have returned for other installments of the franchise, which include: 1997’sThe Lost World: Jurassic Park, 2001’sJurassic Park III, 2015’sJurassic World, 2018’sJurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, andJurassic World Dominionin 2022.
For Dominion, familiar faces likeChris PrattandBryce Dallas Howard, who joined in later years, were introduced to Neil, 76, Dern, 56, and Goldblum, 71.

“I can say that it was incredible to be back together,” Dern told PEOPLE in May 2022 about returning to her role. “It was an amazing thingto join my original cast membersand go down memory lane, from that experience in the beginning of a franchise through the whole course of these films together with all the key cast members who have been working on these movies, as well as [director] Colin Trevorrow and Steven Spielberg, who is like family to me.”
That same month, Pratt, 44, visited theTodayshow and told its hosts and viewers alike, “This is the sixth Jurassic film, and it’s the end of this franchise."
“Is it really the end?” askedSavannah Guthrie, as she and co-anchorHoda Kotbchatted with him ahead of the premiere ofDominion.

“Ireally do think it’s the end, yeah,” he said. “You got the legacy cast back — Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum — plus the cast of Jurassic World, all our storylines converging in a way that is very much a finale.”
At this time, a cast has not yet been announced forJurassic World’s July 2025 release.
