Love, marriage — and a zombie apocalypse.
Ahead of Valentine’s Day,formerBachelorSean Loweand his wife Catherine Giudici Lowe had a fun date night atSandbox VR, battling zombies in a Deadwood Valley competition.
Afterwards the couple — who recently celebrated 10 years of marriage — opened up about how they’ve kept their relationship strong since tying the knot.
“We like to be playful, we like to laugh together, and a date like this one is way more us than just a romantic date. We like to have fun all of the time. We’re just a couple of kids,” Sean, 37, told PEOPLE exclusively.

Since becoming parents, the couple have spent Valentine’s Day with their kids. “We have an annual tradition where we probably grab dinner, the two of us, on a day that isn’t Valentine’s Day — the 13th or the 14th,” added the reality star. “And our family tradition is on the 14th. We make pizzas at home with the kids, but this beats a dinner any day.”
As for whether their plans for the day of love may change as their kids get older, the couple — who areparents to sons Samuel, 7, Isaiah, 5, and daughterMia, 4, and are known to playfully prank each other on social media — responded in true Lowe form.
“Set the bar low,” quipped Sean about keeping their Valentine’s Day celebrations low-key. “Because if you get married and you have a Valentine’s Day, don’t set it high in the beginning. Wait until year 10 or 12, and then set it high.”
On their tenth anniversary last month, Catherine shared a sweet Instagram tribute to her husband. “This man and what he has brought to my life are the absolute best things I could have ever dreamt of,” she wrote alongside a carousel of photos from their televised wedding day.
“Ten years ofnot always wedded bliss, but more than that. The reality of a marriage — a partnership of ups and downs, where you choose each other every day, we get to do it together,” she continued.
