A simple Instagram like has gottenTaylor Kinneyin hot water with fans of his ex-fiancée,Lady Gaga.

The actor, 37, made Gaga fans angry when he liked a comment onan unrelated postthat he shared on Sunday. The comment read, “Stoked you got away from Gaga. #Hollyweird.”

Gaga, 32, was previously engaged toChicago Firestar Kinney and the pair wastogether for five years. But shortly after she landed her role inA Star Is Bornin 2016,the couple split. The actorhad proposedon Valentine’s Day 2015.

One user stood up for Kinney, writing, “Leave him alone. We all loved them together, but unfortunately that is over. Imagine being reminded of your ex for the rest of your life, would you all like that?”

On Twitter, one user noted that Gaga, who just completed an awards season where she racked up trophies forA Star Is Born, is “unbothered with her Oscar, Grammys, Critics Choice, Bafta, Golden Globe…. awards.”

After their breakup in July 2016, Gagareleased a statementthat said, “Taylor and I have always believed we are soulmates. Just like all couples we have ups and downs, and we have been taking a break.”

In her documentaryGaga:Five Foot Two, the singer broke down in tears as she alluded to the fact that her growing career might have contributed to the breakup.

“I did a movie and lose Taylor,” she added. “This is the third time I’ve had my heart broken like this.”

In October,Kinney praised his exfor her rousing success withA Star Is Born— whichsaw much box office successin the fall and eventually led toan Oscar, Grammy and Golden Globe, among other awards, for Gaga.

“I’ll tell you that I’m really proud. I don’t know. It’s watching someone live their dream, so, continued success and I hope it keeps climbing,”he toldEntertainment Tonight. “The sky is the limit.”

Earlier this month, news broke that Gaga hadsplit with her fiancé, Christian Carino.

“It just didn’t work out. Relationships sometimes end,” a source told PEOPLE, adding that the pair split “a bit ago.” “There’s no long dramatic story.”
